Christmas Break!

Here are the pictures of the kiddos et. al. from the break. We had a spectacular time. Here's Isaac at breakfast with his train pancakes. This is my favorite picture. My dad took it of the boys playing with the train by the tree. I think Carson spent about 15 hours a day watching that little train chug around the tree.
Look how much I love my mom. She is a wonderful chef and baker. Here she is with her delicious sugar cookies and icing.

This is the cookie Carson was making for his mom. I'm not sure if he put enough sprinkles on it. As everyone knows, sugar cookies should have at least three inches of frosting and sprinkles on top, not just two. But, he's young still and so hopefully he'll be able to figure that out.

Carson, Grace, Jeff, and Isaac decorating Christmas cookies. I was impressed that the kiddies weren't super interested in eating all that sugar, just playing with it. Well done sibs.
Um, this is one of the 17 attempts we had in trying to go out and play in the snow. This is when we tried to go cross-country skiing at Aspen Grove. Apparently, they were taking a holiday as well. Go figure.
Okay, this kid has just the funniest expressions, so that's why there are two of Colter. Sorry to the other three wonderful kids for fewer pictures. I'm sorry but this little 18-month-old is obsessed with jackets and shoes, clearly making him his Aunt Christine's nephew.

My dad and I finally went a half-day skiing at Sundance. It was bitterly cold with high winds and blinding snow. I think we managed to squeak out about four runs on the back mountain before we called it a day. We were still all smiles though, we had been trying to go skiing for days. Here's the sunset over Idaho as seen from the plane. Good thing I had been moved four times by other passengers and the flight attendants or I wouldn't have had such a great view from the exit row bucket seat. Actually, I was grateful for the first three moves but now I know to stand my ground for the fourth. No way is the jump seat comfy. At least it was a short flight.
