Piles of thesis, thesis for me.

So today I dug out my inches of literature that I've collected over the years. Here's a picture of the pile. It has to do with enthapies, entropies, self-syngeneic complexes, conserved interactions, biophysical correlations to immunological outputs, and a whole bunch of other stuff that would make Winnie the Pooh say, 'oh bother'. Actually I don't know why I just thought of that but I just did. It must be the ten hours of typing talking. Anyway, here is an excerpt of what I wrote today: "By analyzing these structures as a whole, it was hoped that either buried surface area or number of receptor-ligand contacts would correlate with either biological output (antagonist v. agonist) or at least affinity (Kd). Unfortunately, this has turned out to not be the case." Here's another excerpt: "Within this context, the paradoxical nature of the TCR is becoming clear. Unfortunately this is totally untrue. We still have no idea how these things work. What a horribly crappy thesis project. Garbaggio!" I thought that I had come up with a new word for lame, but sadly no. Garbaggio is already in the urban dictionary. Does that mean I'm culturally hip and relevant instead? Probably not. Maybe if I multislack better. Look at those dark circles under my eyes! I'm wasting away! Or, I'm sleepy. Or, the lighting is no bueno in the library.

Here's some phrases from our Micro 330 book in case you wanted to use them: "remains to be fully elucidated," "we do not fully understand," "perhaps surprisingly, however," "remains to be identified," or "unclear."
Yes, I just looked those up for you. You're welcome. I finally realized why I kept the book around all these years.

Okay, so I could have written an entire blog entry about James McAvoy and his uber-sexy status...but, I thought me being married and all, it may come across as inappropriate. Darn it. He's the reason I already watched it more than once and want to own it.

I'm still determined to send you birthday greetings as I would hate to miss a year after almost a decade of a perfect record. Just know throughout the pregnancy-birth drama, I thought of you. I'm still digging myself out of my newborn mom haze.

Dark for me...

Poor Christine! I love the picture, though. I think you need to fly out to Austin for a visit just to rest your brain from all that.

Great picture! That is quite the collection. I wanted to tell you that I would be willing to get the pages laminated for you so you can keep your journal article collection FOREVER!!! Don't worry I am already on the lookout for a journal rack... you know like a gun rack, spoon rack, or quilt rack... a rack to display your beloved collections!

Can't wait to talk to you! Sorry we keep on playing phone tag!
