So the first time I went orienteering at Point Defiance Park, I got lost because I didn't realize that "edge of the map" did not mean "edge of the world". 58 minutes later, I scrambled out of a residential subdivision and pretended that I was going for a walk so that orienteers coming out of the park wouldn't realize how lost I was. The second time, I got lost with Emily and Suzy for about forty minutes when we took a left and not a right. But today, huzzah! Suzy and I ran a clean course and came in fourth on our division! Here are pictures of us afterwards.

And me, Janet, Suzy, and Leslie.

The post-run wrap-up is pretty much the best part of the morning as we laugh and talk about how we got lost and tripped up by the logs and ferns and brambles. Here's Leslie and Janet and Mark.

And finally, the whole gang together. Love it.
