No of course not MUSE, because I'll see you again on Tuesday in Denver! And whuh? Is that them standing on giant towers of DNA? Yes it is. I mean, it would have been cooler had it been T cell receptors, but I'll just save that visual for when I go on tour with my own band. Later on. When I get some other stuff done. Silversun Pickups opened for them and told us that the concert we were about to see would melt our minds. And they did twice over. I won't go into details on this post since I don't want to spoil the jaw blowing excitement that is awaiting my sister. I only saw a few kids that looked like they might be Twilight fans. And even though Matthew Bellamy has been decried by some as being a little flashy and therefore somehow not too cool, I disagree, even though admittedly, what I'm about to say doesn't help my case. I don't have a pic of his Seattle togs but wow. He was kitted out in turquoise pants, silver sequined shoes, and a off-bias jacket with studded epaulettes yet still managed to make the three rows of crazed teen girls behind us nearly swoon off the balcony. I would submit that there are some way way more sparkly than Bellamy that have won their way into the hearts of even the most ardent MUSE booing naysayer. All in all though, he is a little flamboyant but I say more power to him because he definitely brings it. Along with throwing his guitar across the stage. Sweet.
