It's alive! Bwah-hah-hah!

On July 12th of 2004, I started working on making three proteins in hopes that I could generate two complex crystal structures. After hmmm . . . what is that? Thirty-six years? Anyway, at a later date, namely now, I've given up that venture and am taking a new tack in the form of dum, dum, dum . . . FRANKENPROTEINS!!! That's right. Thirty oligos came in the mail this afternoon and tonight about 8 PM, I got the PCR started that will generate . . . get this: insect leader.MHC alpha chain.linker 1.MHC beta chain.linker 2.MBP peptide.linker 3.TCR beta chain.linker 4.TCR alpha chain. It's at the end of the fourth quarter with 3 minutes to go, so it's a bit of a hail mary.

Dear Pre-Doc,

Are the three original proteins a part of this new Frankenprotien or is this something new????

Love PapaMac

Peace my friend.

The Frankenproteins are the old proteins combined into one beast. We're very interested in what these exact sequences are doing so we can't really sub out.
