So the top twelve graduate students in the nation are awarded the Weintraub and have their names published in Science, Nature, and Cell. I don't think top graduate students spend time writing on the internet when they should be doing a gel purification, ligation, and transformation in exasperation . . . so my chances may not be good. But I say, wussie pansies never won awards so I'm turning the corner to say, "Hello failure. I've got stuff to do so get outta my way." Actually, what really came to mind when I decided to apply was "Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt" -Wm. Shakespeare, Measure for Measure, Act 1, Scene IV. I absolutely believe that's true so I'm going for it.
